Updates and details for India vs Australia: These innings has to be in my top three, says ’emotional’ Virat Kohli:

India reached the semi-finals of the ICC World T20 after winning the match against Australia by six wickets in Mohali on Sunday. Virat Kohli was the hero of India's chase. His unbeaten innings of 82 runs in 51 balls helped India to win the game easily.

Virat Kohli said, "These innings has to be in my top three, perhaps the top right now because I am a bit emotional." He also added that "I would like to thank the crowd, it was unbelievable, the support helps you push through those tough times. This is what you play cricket for. You need challenges in every game, they improve you as a cricketer. I don't know what to say, I am overwhelmed."

India's bowlers pulled Australia back from a blistering start to restrict them to 160 for six wickets after Australia won the toss and elected to bat. In last three overs, India needed 39 runs and Kohli decided to show his power which proved that he is one of the world's best current batsmen.

Before the match, former India captain Sunil Gavaskar and Virender Sehwag told that the Kohli era has started. Gavaskar said that "I think that Virat Kohli era has dawned over the last year or so. It's been there ever since he took over the Test captaincy and because he is now going to create a completely different niche as far as Indian cricket is concerned."
